This is an autobiographical account of the 114th N.Y. Volunteers regiment during the Civil War, from the time of enlistment until the close of the conflict, as told by its surgeon Dr. Harris H. Beecher. The regiment included volunteers from Chenango County (Norwich, Earlville, New Berlin, Sherburne). Frontispiece is an engraving of the regiment's colonel, Elisha B. Smith. 582 pages; approx. 5"x8".
