This antique hardcover book is bound in decorative green cloth boards. The cover and spine have allover patterns etched in black; spine lettering is on a gilt patterned field. Front cover indicates that this is an Arlington Edition. Some slight edgewear to covers, but mostly clean; inner pages are browned, cracked front hinge, front endpaper has been clipped No date of publication given; presumed ca. 1870s. Illustrated with decorations and black-and-white plates, this book tells the fantastical story of Baron von Munchausen, some of which may be true but most of which is likely exaggerated or made up wholesale. Nevertheless, an entertaining classic. 251 pages; approx. 5"x8".
